It is a funny old world, full of funny and peculiar people. Unfortunately there are a bunch of them that we can only describe as inept experts. Now don’t get us wrong. The UK is home some of the world’s most talented and creative people and we love them all for their sterling work. It’s the STUPID PARROTS we cannot abide. No it is not that we have to compete with them. It is because they are damaging business.
HOW CAN EXPERTS GET IT WRONG?
It is simple really. They are not experts, just people who have learnt to do something that they are half decent at and have managed to make a few quid out of along the way. All from unsuspecting clients. It doesn’t make them bad people though and they will carry on blissfully thinking they are doing everything right.
Reminds us of the Morecambe and Wise sketch with the piano… sheer and utter creative brilliance. STUPID PARROTS play all the right notes, but not necessarily in the right order.
So what is the right way to do marketing?
Good question and we can give you a very simple answer. The right way is to realise the desired outcome. Let us put it this way. If you go and buy a car and say I want a V6 sports car but are given a 1.2 Polo we are quite sure you would have something to say. Make sense now?
STUPID PEOPLE DON’T LISTEN TO EXPERTS
QUICK QUESTION: Why employ an expert if their guidance and advice is ignored. All this does is cost money. Now we are using the word expert generally here as there are a myriad of people professing to be experts. Expertise comes from experience not just hard years served but also projects worked on. It does not come from a book that has been digested and immediately regurgitated. WE APPLAUD you for reading this far down the page.
