COVID PANDEMIC WEBSITES
WEBSITE EMERGENCY OR WEBSITE EMERGING?
OH DEAR. We should have planned for this crazy pandemic. No worries though, the STUPID PARROTS are here to rush to the rescue and make everything better. Faster than the team in an Emergency and Accident Unit striving to revive a possible fatality, they will do everything within their low skill set in good faith (a wing and a prayer).
GET THE VENTILATOR THERE IS A CHANCE.
A sticky plaster will do.
STUPID PARROTS are not highly experienced professionals. They are highly confident in their ability though. Sure they grind out sites like sausages. They can add a shop plugin. They can even include some new data capture forms or bodge about with that tricky backend business stuff.
LET’S NOT TALK ABOUT THAT STUFF THOUGH. NOW WHICH COLOUR STICKY PLASTER DO YOU WANT?
Business is about reacting, but it is also about understanding and not rushing into the unknown. It may seem simple and it can be. It only gets complicated when the STUPID PARROTS have been laying their eggs all over the business landscape.
The emerging covid strategy.
A strategy would suggest something has, well been understood, planned and then to be or has been implemented. NOT IN THESE TIMES. There is an emerging strategy to look at competitors stuff, pick on the one that seems to be getting something right and then simply copying that. THE STUPID PARROTS love this situation. They have been sitting, nesting and breeding, ready for the abundance of budget staples to consume.
A small step in the right direction is far more effective. It seems there is a rush to remake business when in reality a few adjustments will fair far better rewards. We do not mean do little or nothing. We mean consider before reacting. THROWING CAUTION TO THE WIND may have a negative impact. An impact that can confuse our friend the consumer.
WE ARE NOT LISTENING.
CONSUMERS of services and products know what they want. The world today is more confusing than the most complicated rubix cubes. We already know it does not take long for attention spans to wave (6 to 8 seconds by all accounts).
HAVE YOU ASKED THE CONSUMER their needs and wants? A simple question can return greater business success. Knowing what the consumer wants it is not too difficult (MAY BE DIFFICULT FOR A STUPID PARROT) to figure out what to do.
STOP. Before you even consider contacting one person in your GDPR compliant database consider the goal. Do not just consider increased sales. Consider the little things. You see it is the little things that make consumers loyal buyers. A direct contact to Mike or Michelle in sales is far better than a headless, pointless marketing email or dross digital newsletter. Do the right things. DO NOT INVOLVE THE STUPID PARROTS. They will screw it up.
Do not play to others reactions. Do not jump on the bandwagon of developing a new website or adding the latest way of selling stuff on a website. THINK ABOUT IT. Take your time and make sure the advice you get is sound. THE STUPID PARROTS are out there and they are overjoyed that the world situation is making there business boom. It is your business that needs to boom. REMEMBER – A WEBSITE IS NOT JUST FOR COVID.
Here it is again. The blog that is good for almost everything marketing. Our good friends the search engines are liking this stuff. Not sure the STUPID PARROTS will. Anyway might be worth a look and who knows there may be something important to know. If you have a spare few days take a look.

PLEASE IGNORE THE COVID VIRUS. It has been left here for search engines as they like at least one picture to be on a page. Go figure!
